Strong and readable
Password generator
Look-alike characters (I, O, l-style confusables) are left out so the password is easy to read aloud or type from paper.

How it works
Every password mixes lowercase and uppercase letters with the numbers and symbols you choose above, picked with your browser's cryptographic random generator. Nothing is sent anywhere — generation happens entirely on your device.
What makes a password strong
Length beats cleverness. Each extra character multiplies the work an attacker must do, so a 16-character random password is enormously stronger than an 8-character one with symbols. Use a unique password for every site — a leak at one service then can't unlock the others — and store them in a password manager rather than reusing something memorable.
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to generate a password on a website?
Here, yes: the password is produced by your own browser's cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues). It is never sent over the network, logged, or stored — you can even load the page, go offline, and then generate.
Why are some letters missing from the passwords?
Look-alike characters such as I, O, and their lowercase confusables are excluded on purpose, so a password read aloud or copied from paper can't be mistyped as a 1 or a 0.
How long should my password be?
Use at least 12 characters — 16 or more for important accounts like email and banking. Length is the single biggest factor in password strength.
