The grading formula
A test grade is the share of questions answered correctly: grade = (correct answers ÷ total questions) × 100. A student who gets 18 out of 20 questions right scores (18 ÷ 20) × 100 = 90% — an A on the default scale.
Letter grades follow the scale you set: by default A ≥ 90, B ≥ 80, C ≥ 70, D ≥ 60, and F below 60.

What is a quick grade calculator?
It is a digital replacement for the classic EZ-grader slide chart. Instead of sliding a cardboard wheel, you enter the number of questions and the number wrong, and the tool shows the percentage score and letter grade immediately.
Can I change the grading scale?
Yes. Click the Grade scale button and set the minimum percentage for each letter. The default is A ≥ 90, B ≥ 80, C ≥ 70, D ≥ 60. Every score and chart row recalculates as you type, and your custom scale is remembered on your device.
Does it support half-point deductions?
Yes — the number-wrong field accepts half points (for example 2.5 wrong), and you can turn on decimals to see scores like 87.5%.
Is Quick Grade free?
Completely free, with no sign-up. Everything runs in your browser, works offline after the first load, and nothing you enter leaves your device.
